The New Horizon Fellowships will be conducted at the research facilities of select scientific experts. All of them are based in Europe and are awarded EULAR Centres of Excellence. Details on hoster centers will be announced soon.

The work of the department is translational rheumatology from bench to bedside with a scientific focus on neutrophil biology. They have a programme developing biomarkers to predict drug response to biologics, clinical trials, host a UK National Centre for Behçet’s syndrome, UK National Centre for Integrated  Research into Musculoskeletal ageing (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/ageing-and-chronic-disease/cima/) and are part of the UK National Centre Musculoskeletal health and work (https://www.mrc.soton.ac.uk/cmhw/). They can offer research and clinical placements that span laboratory research, clinical trials and clinical evaluations in, for example, a large national cohort of patients with Behçet’s syndrome. They have many collaborations internationally.
